5+1 Internship Program Pathway

This program is available to Provisional Psychologist who are entering or have entered their +1 internship after 1 May, 2024. Please note that we are not able to provide places for the 4+2 internship program or higher education pathway.

As part of the program, you will be employed on a full-time, 12-month contract during the internship, with a view to continuation of employment on completion.

The Therapy Pro Internship Program is open to all provisional psychologists on the 5+1 pathway and encourages applicants from First Nations and, culturally and linguistically diverse communities (CALD) and individuals from underserved regions across QLD (MMM3-7).

Are you a First Nations person?

First Nations refers to the original inhabitants of Australia, including both Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islanders, who are recognised for their unique cultural heritage, histories, and deep connection to the land and waters of Australia.

Are you from a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background?

The term ‘CALD’ is used respectfully to refer to people living in Australia who were born overseas, or with parent(s) or grandparent(s) born overseas, in countries other than those classified by the Australian Bureau of Statistics as ‘main English-speaking countries’, this includes those from communities with diverse languages, ethnic backgrounds, nationalities, traditions, societal structures and religions.
